Mid Season Tourney

Yahoo! Another weekend of ultimate. After not playing for more than a week (thursday games got cancelled due to rains) I was so pumped to play this weekend. Tourney was at Sunny Brook Park. It's a massive plateau with soccer, field hockey, cricket, and rugby fields. And almost all of the fields were for TUC's tourney.

Around 40 teams from different tiers and days played during the weekend. We played 4 games yesterday, at lahat talo. Pakshet. Kulang nanaman kami sa tao, like in North Bay. Tinalo pa kami nung isang team na nakalaban na namin sa thursday nights. Well in fairness may hugot sila na touring player, yung tipong pumupunta sa Nationals.

Highlights of my weekend include an assist on a spirit point. Yung isang point na nilaro namin (after regulation time) was a chair point. May isa kayong teammate na injured or whatever na nasa chair sa gitna ng endzone ninyo. Tapos sha lang pwede sumalo ng disc sa endzone. Shempre ang lolo mo ang nag pasa. Curling flick may bantay pa sa gitna ko at ng chair. Perfect pass! yess. Nagalingan sila eh. Naks. Saka I was picked for a prize after another game for being the best guy player in our team. May nagyaya pa nga sa akin na sumali sa upper tier team. Um-oo lang ako pero di niya lang alam na wala akong stamina. Hahahaha.

Ultimate career? Hmmm... Asa pa. Pag payat na siguro ako, baka pwede pa. Pag payat na ako, di na ko sasali rin sa FUN team. Di ba jen? Mwahahahaha.

Ang bangis lang talaga. Shet. Napanood ko rin yung Die Hard. OA. hahahaha. Pero pwede na rin. Lam ko mejo late na ako nakapanood, ayaw ko makisabay sa millions of people na nanood last week.

Di ba dapat si bumblebee ay volks? labo lang na camaro siya. Funny thing, token black dudes always get killed in a movie. Kahit sa robots, ganun din. Taena boses pa lang ni Jazz egoy na eh. Siya pa namatay. Wahahaha. Sayang, I wanted to see more of the megatron/starscream fights. Di ba palagi silang nag aaway sa cartoons? Ano kaya sunod? GI Joe? Baduy ata kung totoong tao.

Best part is... nilibre ako ni Jackol. Yun lang. o jen shatap, baka nagwawater water ka nanaman jan.

Wow, new post finally. I've been waiting for the tourney pics from one of my teammates pero mashado nang matagal.

anyhoot, galing ako sa tourney sa north bay two weeks ago. It's around 5 hours from toronto (north). yung isang teammate ko may cottage dun. so dun kami nag stay for the weekend.

I haven't been to a cottage before, so i'm kinda excited. i was not expecting much after all, iniisip ko na mejo rustic house by the lake. pero pagdating namin dun, pucha ang laki nung bahay. 6-7 bedrooms ata meron tapos loaded pa yung house din. hot tub, sauna, boat, wakeboards, the works. kahit yung mga whities na kasama ko nagulat din sa cottage. apparently mayaman pala yung teammate ko. yesss...

the tourney is pretty big. 28 teams from in and around ontario came. mejo big deal pala ang ultimate sa north bay. kahit na maliit lang yung town, sobrang daming naglalaro. yung team namin parang hat team lang. yung thursday night team ko kasi nag meet up lang through postings sa toronto ultimate club website, so wala talagang magkakakilala. nakipag volt in kami sa isa pang thursday team.

ang sablay lang sa tourney namin, thursday night na injure yung may ari ng cottage. friday night na injure yung isa pang teammate namin. sat morning during the first game na injure yung isa pang guy. so 3 guys ang natanggal agad. mejo savage yung guys. 1 sub lang for the whole weekend.

we won our first game, tapos talo na lahat. magagaling kasi yung mga nainjure, so olats. iba rin yung teams dito. magagaling lahat. we watched some of the games from the other fields, it's like watching ultimate games on video. yung tipong collegiate level. so iba talaga. naisip ko kung kakayanin ng pula yung top teams dito... hinde ata. hehehe.

ang makulit sa northbay tourney, may two points. pag nasalo mo yung disc behind the back sa endzone, two points. we tried pero wala talaga. hehehe. malamig din yung panahon dun. para kang naglaro sa baguio ng december. dapat mainit na e, pero naging makulimlim kaya lumamig.

after the games, tamang chillax na lang sa hot tub at inom ng beer. ok naman yung mga teammate ko. buti may isang couple na asian kaya di mashadong nakaka op. pero most of the time ako lang mag isa sa isang sulok kasi nakaka op pa rin. weirdo lang talaga yung ibang lahi. hirap timplahin. hehehe.

i tried to swim in the lake, but as soon as i hit the water i wanted to get out. sobrang lamig pakshet. tangina... di tayo pang lake water! tamang beach at tubig alat ang balat mo! hehehe. so diretso na lang ako sa sauna tapos hot tub. pero etong whities tamang nag wakeboarding pa e. shet. panglamig sila talaga.
